About Us

Helping immigrant children And Families thrive and be successful in Georgia communities

Our Story

Immigrants Relief Initiatives (IRI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering immigrants and supporting their successful integration into communities across Georgia. Through compassionate support, advocacy, and access to essential services, we promote immigrants holistic well-being, create pathways to stability, resourcefulness, and opportunities for growth in the society.

IRI’s journey began in 2017, through grassroot in informal gatherings of immigrants seeking mutual support while navigating the challenges of a new country. What started as shared conversations about securing housing, enrolling children in school, finding employment, navigating the financial system, and healthcare services has grown into a formally established nonprofit grounded in compassion, resilience, and collective progress.

Our own experiences as immigrants serve as living testimonies of hope and possibility. We recognize that the many challenges we once faced including limited access to essential services, language barriers, discrimination, and cultural adjustment continue to affect countless immigrants today. To ensure no immigrant faces these obstacles alone, IRI is dedicated to supporting both newly arrived and long-settled immigrants overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve a true sense of belonging while building a successful life in Georgia.

IRI,s work is coordinated through the efforts and contributions of our board members, executive director, staff and volunteers.

We invite everyone to join us. Whether through donating, volunteering, or supporting an immigrant in need, your involvement can transform lives, make a difference, and strengthen our community. Together, we can truly build a more welcoming and prosperous Georgia for all.
